Black Spots on Face and Neck From Gluten Intolerance

by Fredah Mainah

I did not know I was gluten intolerant until I was 40 years old. I lived a very uncomfortable life of not being able to enjoy cakes or pie or bread or any wheat product. I just knew that when I ate anything that had wheat in it I would instantly develop a heart burn, or stomach upset, or my nose would block or my eyes and neck would itch and continuously. Nobody in my family or circle of friends knew about gluten intolerance.

I can say I discovered about it by accident. I was surfing the internet about allergies related to nose and about some black spots I had on my face and neck and ...there... some doctor was explaining about gluten allergies and the effect and symptoms.

I then decided to discipline myself and eliminate all wheat from my diet. Within 3 months the black spots on my face and neck had reduced, my nose block which had almost developed into sinuses was clear and my appetite had improved.

I am now happy to be able to make gluten free recipes. That is how I found your site. Again by accident on the internet. This time a nice accident because I am also an SBIer and have an information site at
