gluten free lipstick

I am new to being gluten free and was wondering whether it was safe to use lipstick. Also I use Cetaphil moisturizer. Should I be concerned?

Caution
by: Carol

Because lipstick is used on the lips and therefore quite likely to be ingested, I would take care. Other cosmetics, that do not come into contact with your mouth, are less likely to cause problems. However, if applied by hand, it would always be sensible to wash your hands after doing so.

The problem is at your gut not your skin outside the gut.
by: Prakash Nayee

I don't think you have anything to worry about as the damage and problems caused by Gluten are in the gut and not on you skin outside your gut.

But, if you are in the category of being super sensitive to gluten and wheat etc, then you may have to be cautious as you may swallow some of your cosmetic i.e. your lipstick and that may be cause a problem. Thought it shouldn't be, as the amount may well be tiny and below what is regarded as unsafe.

If you are still worried then just send an email to the cosmetic company ask them if their product is gluten free.

Good luck
