Gluten-free and don't like it

by Anne
(Columbia, Mo)

I recently found out that I had to go on gluten-free diet and it is really frustrating. I'm trying to search online and other resources to find additional answers. I would like to chat online or get some information from people who have to change their daily eating habits. Right now I'm not sure what are all the things I CAN'T eat?
Help!!!

Check out Celiaccentral.org

Celiaccentral.org has a "getting started" downloadable pamphlet that is excellent for anyone starting the gluten-free diet. The link is on the first page, just look under "resources".

Best of luck to you and don't give up. Within 6 months eating gluten free will be your "new normal". Really.

food

There are tons of foods out there!

Vans waffles - wonderful!

Amy's frozen foods - the Indian is gluten-free, she has a rice crust pizza, Mexican, all kinds of stuff.

Fruits and veggies of course.

Organic instant mashed potatoes

Good Karma rice ice cream

Rice noodles - there is a mix in a yellow box that is Thai that is wonderful, but can't think of the name.

Sour Patch Kids, Jolly ranchers candy.

There are some great cookie and brownie mixes.

Ketchup that says gluten free.

Some packaged cookies, but watch it - some say gluten free when thye contain a little wheat.

Hope that helps!
