GF Cereal

by Lindsey
(Gainesville, GA)

Some of the puffin cereals as well as the Public Greenwise rice cherrios are gluten free and are great with soy milk, almond milk, rice milk, even regular milk. I also like to add a little crunch to my cereal sometimes with sunflower seeds or almond slices.

Gluten Free Breakfast Cereal

by Amy
(Australia)

I have a good cereal that is very tasty and energising:

Rice flakes
Dried apricots and dried apple
pine nuts
seasame seeds
almond flakes

Vanilla yoghurt on top with a banana and serve with milk.

This will keep you going for hours. It's very nutritious and filling. Your body will love you for it.

Kids Love Gorilla Munch!

My son loves Gorilla Munch. We call it "Gorilla's in the Mist" cereal, I'm not even sure how that started, I think I called it the wrong name on accident one morning (pre-coffee I'm sure).

So the cereal box makes it to his school for a "project" and look at the beautiful gift I received back.

gluten-free granola and yogurt or Bob's Red Mill Gluten-Free Oats or G-F Corn Chex

by julie
(California)

1) Gluten-free Granola by Bakery on Main. I'm on weight watchers so I have 1/2 cup granola (not the 3/4) and 1/2 serving of yogurt (4 oz) mixed together. The granola is from Trader Joe's or Raley's (in California). Several flavors such as Apple Raisin Walnut.

Can I have more than one favorite?

2) Bob's Red Mill Gluten-Free oats make a nice oatmeal. I think this is a new product that I saw announced a couple of months ago. I see it is a fav of someone else!

3) General Mills recently added Gluten-Free Corn Chexs and Rice Chexs. Good with banana or other fruit. Maybe this was the new product? Getting older. ha ha ha

I get new food hints from Triumph Dining and Digestive Health SmartBrief.

Don't forget to add some ground flax for the nutty flavor, fiber, and to reduce cholesterol on either of the above.

Cheers! Julie

Chex Cereal Gluten Free

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet but Chex is now GF. It's super tasty too! It also makes a great dry snack while at school or the office. The Chocolate is great for that "chocolate fix" all us ladies need from time to time. Honey Nut is simply delicious and the Cinnamon flavor is out of this world! You MUST make sure the box says Gluten Free. The bottom of the nutrition label will have the Celiac Disease Foundation logo. Give it a try. You will love it.
