Headaches associated with celiac disease?

by Shawn
(Tennessee)

Are headaches ever associated with celiac disease? I think my husband may have this disease and was wondering. He's been to 16 different doctors and we still don't have a " cause " for all of his symptoms.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Headaches can definitely be a symptom of celiac disease (but can also be symptomatic of many other things). I suffered from migraine headaches for years and after being diagnosed with celiac disease and embarking on a 100% gluten-free diet ? things improved dramatically.

Headaches and Gluten

I'm not 100% sure if they are or now. However, I found that I was having lots of headaches whenever I ate gluten and soon as I went gluten free, most of the headaches went away.
