Ia anyone pregnant with celiac and diabetes?

My twenty year old daughter is pregnant with celiac and type 1 diabetes. We are having a hard time controlling her blood sugars and her doctors seem to be clueless. Does anyone have any ideas? She seems to be getting gluten and when she does her sugars are low. I know it is because her food must be going through her but they don't want her to eat rice dishes. We are very frustrated. Anyone been there?
