irritable bowel or gluten intolerance

by Chris
(Nottinghamshire, UK)

Having suffered for over a decade with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, experiencing some excruciating pain, I have now given up with the advice of Doctors and Specialists who either seem ignorant or unsympathetic to my problems.

Through many years of trawling the web in search of a cure it now seems that the gluten-free option is the best chance. We do have a history of autism in our family and therefore I believe the gene is within me also and maybe this could be the cause of the IBS.

So now I am trying a diet free from all gluten products.

Sainsbury's do a great range which includes bread, cobs, delicious cakes and biscuits as well as pasta, gravy and even gluten-free mayonnaise and cereals.

Most of the food I've tasted is fine and after four weeks i am noticing a slight easing of the pain, particularly the bloated feeling in my gutt.

There are various online websites from which you can purchase ready-made gluten-free soups, stews and sauces www.lookwhatwefound.co.uk is one.
