Just trying gluten free

by Kim
(Smyrna, TN)

We are on day one of a full blown gluten free diet. My son was on Vyvanse and it had horrible side effects. Much worse than trying to figure out a gluten free diet. It is day one over and done.

My poor kindergarten son has been sent home from school twice and been suspended from school on two separate days in two separate weeks.

Since being off the medicine I have seen my son come back to himself albeit he is hyper and off task at school.

We are trying gluten free because I have read enough stories from people like you all that convinces me there is a better way. Hallelujah.

The school today again mentioned another type of medication but I am sticking to my guns and we will go this route.

I also have him on 1000 mg of Omega 3's and I am trying something all natural called Added Attention that I found at Whole Foods. The woman there says it sells off the shelves by parents with kids with ADHD.

We are also doing an all natural whole food vitamin. I have heard about great results with this as well.

So, here we go. I hope and pray for the best for all of us parents who have very special sweets kids.
