Starting the process of getting a diagnosis of possible Celiac

by Carol
(Commerce City, CO)

I went to the Dr. today and was very shocked when the LPN asked if I knew where my ancestors came from. Since I didn't grow up around my father I had no Idea, but I knew what my mother had told me about her family.

The Dr said she wanted to do some blood work, to see if I have Celiac disease,

"What's that?" I thought, "and what does that have to do with the pain in my stomach and the nausea, and the runny nose and, diarrhoea?"

She told me what the next step would be if the blood test is positive. I will find out in 2 weeks.

I contacted my local grocer and they don't have a gluten free section, but there is a larger store not to far away and I scheduled a tour of the store and they are going to take me through the store and show me all the Gluten free products.
