struggling with new diagnosis of coeliac disease

by Ross
(Essex, UK)

I have recently found out that i have coeliac and i'm a bit worried how it will affect my life i'm only 27 and have had IBS symptoms for about 6 years.

I enjoy an active life but it's being hindered by the after affect's of a wrong meal or a wrong pint. It is also starting to affect my work, so if anyone has any suggestions my ear's are open thanks

coeliac struggle
by: Anonymous

I'm 19 years old and i have recently been diagnosed with coeliac disease.

For the first month or so after diagnosis I was coping fine, but over the past week or so I have been feeling extremely miserable and i am willing to admit that i am struggling.

Breakfast and lunch are fine, but planning dinner is proving to be a huge task. Tonight for example, i was looking in the fridge and freezer to try to make something easy and i just burst into tears because I couldn't find anything suitable. Its really getting me down.

I would very much appreciate it if anyone could give some advice. Thanks

Just Diagnosed
by: Shane

Ross
Im 42 and just found out I am positive for Coeliac Disease. I have to go under so they snip away at my small intestine to confirm it.

Not overly worried though, I just have to be more careful when I cook and shop for food items.

This diagnosis has answered a few questions regarding some of the issues I have been having. Im just surprised it was not picked up earlier, like in my teens or twenties.

Take it easy and dont worry too much.
