My name is Prakash and I am the Group Organiser for the Cambridgeshire Group of Coeliac UK and my fellow Executive Committee members are Mrs. Margaret Barrett and Mrs. Diane Palmer.

Firstly we would like to welcome you to the Cambridgeshire Coeliac support group, all the committee members are diagnosed Coeliacs, so we understand your dilemma of starting a new life with a new diet.

We are not trained to give you any medical advice but we can certainly give you help with your diet and point you in the right direction. If you have any questions about ingredients, baking, cooking tips or prescription food then feel free to contact anyone of us for help. We have some great cooks and bakers in the group who are more than willing to part with their knowledge.

We hold meetings at least four times a year, starting promptly at 2pm on a Saturday at the Buchan Street Neighbourhood Centre, 6 Buchan Street, Kings Hedges, Cambridge, CB24 2XF. This will be a great opportunity for you to meet fellow Coeliacs, try new products and sample homemade cakes and savoury foods made by our members.

We also invite various speakers and cookery demonstrators from companies who make or supply gluten free products, with the opportunity to taste and sometimes buy their products at the meetings.

We hold a raffle with various prizes to help us raise funds for the group and if you wish to donate a prize for the raffle just bring it along to the next meeting.

We do ask that members let us know if they are going to attend a meeting as the demonstrators quite often bring free samples and need to know how many they are catering for.
