Why am I always ill?

by Ericka

I had a my Gall Bladder removed 12 years ago, and ever since then I have had nothing but problems.

Finally after a stay in hospital for the pain, which I have suffered along with the swollen and upset stomach, long acting morphine tablets etc, my GP finally suggested it might be celiac disease, and nothing to do with errors made with the gall bladder removal.

I am still in the process of being diagnosed, blood tests came back negative, but after a very long bout of illness, I have not ate a proper gluten diet, (or any sort of diet),for weeks. This can create a false result. I have to have an endoscopy for the biopsy and again that could be negative as well.

The one thing I have noticed since this was suggested, is that every time I eat anything containing gluten, I become very unwell, upset tummies, extreme tiredness etc. I understand that it can be difficult to diagnose, but for me, whatever happens, feeling better is the most important thing.

Once all the tests are complete with the GP, I will be cutting out gluten, feeling better is the most important thing.
