Finally a diagnosis

My son Justin has been loosing weight since he was 17 years old. Sporadically, I would take him to doctors and they would shrug their shoulders and say that they wished they had his problem. He is not a real big guy anyway. I took him to family practice doctor, and then finally, he went to a GI specialist who did a colonoscopy and it came back as inflammation but said it was Crohns disease. The doctor said that he did not have Crohns and he did not have any symptoms of Crohns.
Time went on and he lost a few more pounds so I took him to an Endocrinologist on my own. He ran the blood test for thyroid problems but when they came back normal he just shrugged his shoulders also.
Over the years, his weight continued to drop. When he got down to 110 lbs I again took him to a doctor and they ran a blood test and again....the blood test came back normal and shoulders were shrugged.
Now his weight got down to 94 lbs. I had to buy his medical insurance so that I could get him help. Again, I took him to an internal medicine doctor who was concerned, ran some blood tests and they all came back normal, again, he shrugged his shoulders but then offered to send him to a GI specialist who did another colonoscopy with biopsy and it came back as celiac disease.
He is now 31 years old. I have for many years suspected some type of malabsorption disease. His teeth are bad and he looks like a walking skeleton.
Of course, doctors assumed that he was doing some type of drugs I guess, and just shrugged him off. When a 31-year-old man weighs 94 lbs, there is something wrong.!!
